This recipe has been handed down from my Nana, who was my inspiration to my blog (see Dedication). Everyone loves banana bread, and there are so many recipes out there but this one is easy, great tasting and can be made low fat!
Ingredients:
1 C sugar
1/2 C butter (or 1/4 C butter 1/4 C applesauce)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 Tbsp sour cream (heaping)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 C cake flour
3-4 bananas mashed (very ripe)
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add and mix in eggs
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix
- Put in greased bundt pan or bread pan and bake for 45 minutes
- Once cooked and removed from oven let cool for 15 minutes and then flip oven onto a drying rack
